Using Dial Out as a Cost Reduction Tool
While we offer a very wide footprint of International Toll Free Service (ITFS) numbers around the world, there will always be some countries in which ITFS is not available.  Furthermore, there may be some countries in which we offer ITFS - but the corresponding per minute rate is relatively high in comparison to other countries.  Dial out is a feature that enables the conference leader to include conference participants in countries where toll free access is unavailable as well as dialing out to participants for which the per minute ITFS cost may be prohibitive.  For instance, the ITFS rate for Angola is $1.399 per minute while the dial out rate is significantly less at $0.319 per minute.  The ITFS rate for Cambodia is $1.949 per minute while the dial out rate is significantly less at $0.169 per minute.

To "Dial Out," the conference moderator presses *1 after dialing the access number and entering his/her leader passcode.  At the prompt, he or she then enters the destination number of the participant, followed by prompts to "bring" that participant into the conference room.  The manual dial out process can be a bit tedious - particular with multiple "dial out" participants - but the costs savings are often considerable when comparing.   The good news is that there are  now much easier ways to benefit from the dial out rate!


Start and Control Conference Meetings from Your Desktop
One of the more unique and compelling features of our service is our Free Connect Add-in for Microsoft® Outlook. This feature makes it incredibly easy for you as the conference leader/moderator to schedule and start your conference call from Microsoft Outlook. The Add-In allows you to store your meeting details in Outlook and automatically populate invitations with your meeting information. The Add-In will appear as a toolbar in your Mail and Calendar screens. Callers who are unable to access your call via international toll free access may nonetheless be placed into the conference call by clicking on a “Join Now” Link that is sent via the E-mailed conference invitation.

Conference call participants who join the conference call in this manner are billed to your account at
Dial Out rates as opposed to the international toll free access (ITFS) rate. When the user clicks on the link in the conference invitation, a new browser window will open – and he or she will be automatically connect to the audio and web conference. A new browser window will open (if a new window doesn’t open, you can copy and paste the URL provided in the Meeting Request into a web browser). If necessary, our customer support team will talk you through everything you need to get up and running with this incredible feature.
Start Conference call from Google Calendar Gadget
We can also offer a Connect Google Calendar Gadget that makes it incredibly easy to schedule and start your conference call from a Google Calendar. The gadget allows you to store Conference call details in Google Calendar and automatically populate meeting requests with your meeting information. The gadget also creates an integrated experience between your conferencing subscription and your Google Calendar to connect you and your participants to a conference with one click. The gadget is available to download free of charge. Conference call participants who join the conference call in this manner are billed to your account at
Dial Out rates.
